Questions about Core freeboarding

1. Is it hard to learn to Core freeboard?

Riding Core freeboard is not easy, learning to ride could take one day, but it may take several days or weeks. From our experience we know, that those who already know how to snowboard well, can ride down a big hill in one or two days with braking safely! The learning is fast from the begining, but the real riding experiance comes after several weeks of practice, once confidance apears.

If you've never been on a snowboard and you want to, freeboarding is ideal preparation. Once you learn to ride a Core freeboard, mastering a snowboard will be much easyer for you, because the technique is almost identical. Saved money for lift tickets and accommodation to stay at the mountains can also be a benefit with a Core freeboard, because freeboarding is good for any hill.

2. How to stop on a Core freeboard?

Stoping on a Core freeboard is exactly like on a snowboard. The fact that you can stop at any time is the main feature that makes a Core freeboard a truly revolutionary sport and separates it from other "wheel board" sports like skateboarding, longboard, moutainboard and others. Knowing that you can stop at any time gives you courage and confidance to go faster.

3. Is it a big advantage to be able to snowboard?

It really is a big advantage, however knowing how to snowboard is not required! Riders experience, that the tricks and things that you learn on a Core freeboard, could be applyed on the snowboard without problems – freeboarding is an excelent training complement to snowboard and vice versa. Freeboarding, snowboarding and other board sports such as kiteboarding, wakeboarding, surfing and mountainboarding complement each oather!

4. I'm starting to ride on a Core freeboard. Do you have any tips for me?

At the beginning, we recommend you find a mellow hill with a smooth surface without holes and stones. The first important thing to note is that the board does not ride like a skateboard, but really like snowboard! It is a great advantage to be able to snowboard, but it's not nesessary! Conversely, if you learn to ride a Core freeboard and you can‘t ride a snowboard, snowboarding then should be much easyer!

It is recommended to start experimenting with the setting of central wheels! If you set your center wheel to the highest level, it seems a bit "slippery to those in the beginning. It is recomended to lower the central wheels several notches below, closer to the deck. Core freeboard will be more stable, but sliding will be harder and needed a digger push to slide! As soon as you feel more confident while riding, we recommend once again to rize the center wheel to the highest level. It is then much easier to control at higher speeds and larger hills. Have this on your mind, if you're starting to ride. Do not get discouraged by unsucsessfull begining and setback. Core freeboard needs a little patience. The feeling once you do your first slides and go down the first hill is really worth it!

Also keep in mind, that the begining needs practice and practice! You will be able to ride the hill in one or two days but the real fun and pleasure comes after some time, once you gain confidance. Once you stop worieing about cars, obsticles, holes in the road, narrow spots… Once you get the Core freeboard 100% under control that may take about a month or two. Then you will experiance a whole new level of riding. That is what you realy want to archive. That’s when you start feeling free.

It is true that the wheels on Core freeboard wear off a little faster than in sports like skateboard or longboard. We note that, even with this fact wheels will last a long time, even if it does not seem at first glance. The wheels are made of special rubber and special technology and are made to last longer!

Our wheels have been tested for different types of surfaces and lasts much longer than a normal skateboard Wheel. They are faster and made to better absorb less quality surface. Your wheels should last more than a season with correct style of riding.

During braking, pay atention to the spinning side wheel. Make sure it spins at least a little. It will prevent the deformation and keeps the wheels in excellent condition.
